What’s new 2006/2007

 

Student Service e-Payment

UIS has developed a software module which will enable all AUC students and alumni to obtain services from the University Registrar.  The service will include ordering official documents (eg transcript, certificates) and paying by credit card online.

 

AdAstra Scheduling Application

UIS is planning for the upgrade of the Astra Schedule application. The upgrade will add new functionality and features to the core application. Furthermore,  UIS is planning to install the Astra web client module to facilitate room and resource scheduling on a University wide basis. Administrative Department Web Sites

UIS is currently in the process of applying the new AUC web standard to more than a dozen administrative department web sites.  The web site contents are maintained on a database, and all pages generated dynamically. For more information please click here.

E-Authorization System
UIS has developed an E-Authorization system. The system will enable the authorized staff to receive their access information by email. Phase one to start Oct 8, 2006 which the system will deliver on-demand the access information to the 188 staff on the SAP production system. For more information please click here.

SAP

AUC is currently implementing SAP ECC5.  In this current phase several modules will be implemented: Financial (FI), Funds Management (FM), Materials Management (MM), Travel Management (TM), Human Resources (HR), Payroll (PY) and Employee Self Service (ESS). UIS has 7 full-time staff as part of the implementation core team.  For more information please visit the SAP website.
